Week 6 • March 29 – April 2

Often times the tendency when reading the Bible is to focus on what the Scriptures are telling us to do or to find answers to our questions.  Both the Gospel of John and Revelation is written thematically.  This week as you read, ask God to reveal to you more of who He is as the omnipotent reigning King and the Beginning and the End.

DAY 36 • March 29th

John 1:1-9:41

Key Verse:  John 1:14

John’s Gospel is unique from Matthew, Mark, and Luke.  It is not written chronologically, but thematically.  As you read today, ask God to highlight for you these themes that John reveals to us about Jesus who became flesh and dwelt among us.

DAY 37 • March 30

John 10:1- John 21:25

Key Verse:  John 14:2

Such a promise!  I don’t need to be afraid of what comes next for I have the promises of Jesus. He is already there and has a room for me!  The Bible gives us small glimpses of heaven.  I don’t know what heaven looks like but I do know this: it is home.  I don’t know much about the other side but I know this: God is there waiting for me! We will spend eternity somewhere greater than we can imagine because Jesus is there! No fear.

DAY 38 • March 31

Revelation 1:1 – Revelation 7:17

Key Verses:  Revelation 11:16-17

What a great and wondrous day when God takes back this sin-laden world, claims it for His own and takes the throne.  We who have received His salvation and eternal love will finally know joy and peace beyond measure.  Praise the Lord!

DAY 39 • April 1

Revelation 8:1-15:8

Key Verse: Revelation 1:3

Christ came to earth as a “Lamb,” the symbol for his perfect sacrifice for our sin. He will return as the triumphant “Lion,” the rightful ruler and conqueror. He will defeat Satan, settle accounts with all those who reject him, and bring his faithful people into eternity. The vision John received in this book is both a warning to Christians who have grown apathetic and an encouragement to those who are faithfully enduring the struggles of this world. In the end, good triumphs over evil- --there is hope as we face difficult times---for all generations.

DAY 40 • April 2

Revelation 16:1-22:21

Key Verses: Revelation 19:1-4

God keeps his promises. When it is all said and done, God keeps His word to us. One day we will stand before Him and be part of the roaring voices, “Hallelujah! Praise our God!” Can you even picture what that will look like? Every angel, every believer, even the four living creatures (4:6-8) will be together celebrating the one true King! Simply put, turn that frown upside down, because better days are sure to come. Praise Him!
